Number Flash 1.1

During the activity, a ten-frame displaying dots is briefly shown on the screen, with the duration left to the educator's discretion. Following the disappearance of the ten-frame, children are prompted to recall the number of dots they observed. This exercise challenges them to think beyond basic counting, as they must rely on their conceptual understanding rather than counting the dots directly.

Such an approach encourages children to make connections with numerical values relative to benchmarks like five and ten, thus fostering the development of effective strategies for mastering fundamental numeric facts.

Educators teaching Kindergarten and 1st Grade are encouraged to project Number Flash using a classroom projector. Students can respond individually using pencil and paper while seated at their desks, promoting both engagement and independent thinking.
